Centre for Management and Rural Infrastructure (CMRI)

The Centre for Management of Rural Infrastructure (CMRI) was established at TGIRD to strengthen the capacities of engineering personnel of the Panchayat Raj Engineering Department (PRED). The Centre organizes training and networking programmes with financial support from the Panchayat Raj Engineering Department and in collaboration with NIRDPR.

Objective

  • To organize induction and refresher training programmes for engineers of the Panchayat Raj Engineering Department.

Focus Areas

  • Enhancing the quality of execution of rural infrastructure works.
  • Updating engineering personnel on emerging technologies, innovations, and best practices.
  • Conducting training programmes as per the approved annual training calendar.

Key Programmes

• Training programmes on PMGSY, Quality Control, and Induction Training for PR Engineers.

• Exposure visits for PR Engineers to institutions and project sites outside the State.
